In China, the Festival of Reunion of the Family, which falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month, is also widely celebrated, accompanied by special rituals and banquets.

In Japan, special attention is paid to the respect for the elderly. Respect for the Elderly Day (Keiro-no-ki) is a day when the younger generation expresses its gratitude and respect for the elderly. On this day, families gather together to honor the memory of ancestors. The Family Day in Japan is celebrated on the third Sunday of November.
